Denver, Colorado (July 12, 2017)

East West Partners, a Denver-based developer focused on building, selling, and managing high-quality real estate, and its partner Ascentris, a Denver-based real estate private equity firm, announced the opening of the sales center for The Coloradan on July 15.

The Coloradan is a 334-unit condominium development located directly behind Denver’s Union Station.

The sales center will be located inside WeWork in the Triangle Building, at 1550 Wewatta Street.

Open houses for prospective buyers to review floor plans, renderings, finishes, and pricing will take place:

  • July 15: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • July 16: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

“WeWork is a great place for us to locate our sales center,” said Brad Arnold, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for The Coloradan. “It’s a new kind of workspace with an energy all its own, and The Coloradan will be much the same.”

The highly anticipated Coloradan represents the only opportunity to own a private residence in the Union Station neighborhood.

The building will begin taking purchase contracts in August. Construction began in August 2016 and is expected to be completed in late 2018.

“East West Partners has been developing condominiums in downtown Denver since 1999,” said Chris Frampton, Managing Partner of East West Partners. “We’ve participated in many great projects, including our role as co-master developer of the Union Station neighborhood. In many ways, all of that work has led to The Coloradan. It is the culmination of almost two decades of experience and the final piece of the Union Station neighborhood.”

The sales center will be operated by the Slifer, Smith & Frampton – Denver sales team and will showcase details for the building’s 334 residences, including:

Affordable Homes (33 units)

  • 725 – 878 sq. ft.
  • Estimated pricing: mid to high $200,000s
  • Release expected in 2018

The Coloradan will offer views of downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountains, and its architecture is designed to complement the historic Union Station, which serves as the hub of Denver’s regional transportation network.

The property is located across Wewatta Street from the Whole Foods Market that opened downtown in 2017, allowing residents to easily access grocery and retail amenities.

The building will also include 19,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, designed to feature high-quality restaurants, shops, and services that connect residents with the surrounding neighborhood.

The nearby A-Line train to Denver International Airport, located steps from the building’s entrance, will provide direct access to the airport and regional transit.

Amenities at The Coloradan include:

  • Rooftop pool deck and club room
  • Resident lobby
  • Fitness center
  • Resident garden
  • Parking garage with 432 spaces

The building is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification and will also receive Certified Healthy, a Denver-based designation recognizing projects that incorporate health-focused design and lifestyle features.

Marketing efforts for the project began earlier in the year and have included several community and educational events for prospective buyers.

“We’re thrilled with the amount of initial interest in The Coloradan,” said Arnold. “More than 1,700 people have joined our interest list, and it continues to grow every week. That level of demand highlights the strong interest in condominium living in the Union Station neighborhood.”

The Coloradan is being developed by The Coloradan Development Company, LLC, a joint venture between East West Partners and Ascentris.

Project partners include:

  • GE Johnson Construction Company – General contractor
  • BuildMark – Project management
  • GBD Architects (Portland, Oregon) – Project architect
  • Semple Brown Design (Denver) – Retail design
  • Urban Legend Retail and The F+B Group – Retail leasing and marketing

Beginning July 17, tours of The Coloradan sales center will be available by appointment only.
