Gabe L. Finke

Gabe L. Finke serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Ascentris. From 2003 until 2015, Mr. Finke was the Chief Executive Officer of Amstar Group and Amstar Advisers, the previous name of Ascentris. During his tenure, the firm became a global real estate investor with  pension plans, insurance companies, private banks, funds of funds and family offices as clients and co-investors.

Prior to Ascentris, Mr. Finke was a Principal at The Carlyle Group and Senior Vice President of Prologis, where he was head of European real estate development.

Mr. Finke graduated with Highest Honors in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Currently, Mr. Finke serves on the board of Voyager Space Holdings. Mr. Finke is a past board member of the Georgia Tech Advisory Board, AFIRE, and the Harvard Business School Real Estate Alumni Association, as well as a past Co-Chair of the annual PREA conference and a past member of YPO.

Robert A. Toomey, Jr.

Rob Toomey serves as President of Ascentris, the company he co-founded in 2015. From 1999-2015, Mr. Toomey served in many roles at Amstar Group where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, transaction and joint venture structuring, asset management, and dispositions of a portion of the company’s office, industrial, and multifamily investments across the United States.  Mr. Toomey also served on the firm’s executive and investment committees.  In 2010, Mr. Toomey helped establish Amstar Advisers, the SEC-registered real estate investment manager that was formed to invest and manage the capital of  retirement systems across the United States.

Mr. Toomey graduated with a B.A. from Bates College. He is a member of PREA, past member of AFIRE, and an editorial board member of Institutional Real Estate, Incorporated. He resides in Denver, Colorado with his wife and two sons.

Tricia Noble

Ms. Noble is a Managing Director and Co-Founder at Ascentris, and leads the firm’s sourcing and partner relationship efforts. She also focuses on investing and managing the company’s real estate investments across the U.S., with a particular focus on investments in the East and Southeast regions of the U.S.

Prior to joining Ascentris, Ms. Noble was a partner at Childress Klein Properties, a private developer in the southeastern U.S.  At Childress Klein, she spent almost 18 years developing, leasing, and managing properties within the company’s industrial portfolio, and led and managed the company’s joint venture partnership efforts. Prior to joining Childress Klein, Ms. Noble worked as an Analyst at the investment banking firm Bowles Hollowell Conner & Company.

Ms. Noble earned a B.A. in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is an active member of ULI and NAIOP, is a member of the Executive Board of Horizons at Colorado Academy, serves on the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees at Colorado Academy, is a Director of the Board of the Bucknell University Parents Association, and volunteers at Senior Support Services of Denver and the Women’s Homeless Initiative.  Ms. Noble resides in Denver, Colorado with her husband and twin teenage children.

Patrick Kendall

Mr. Kendall is a Managing Director and Partner at Ascentris, and is responsible for the company’s marketing efforts. He is also involved with new investments in the Southern California property markets.

Prior to joining Ascentris, Mr. Kendall was Managing Director at Barings, a global financial services firm with over $306 Billion of Assets Under Management.  While at Barings, he was responsible for business development and client relations in the western US for all the company’s real estate offerings. Mr. Kendall joined Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers in March 2003, which merged with Barings in 2016. Before his role at Cornerstone, he was an investment officer with PM Realty Advisors located in Newport Beach and was also with CBRE for over 12 years located in Denver.

Mr. Kendall graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S in Business, and earned an MBA from Pepperdine University.

He is based in Newport Beach, California where he lives with his wife.

Denis Curran

Denis Curran is a Managing Director and Partner at Ascentris, and focuses on investing and managing the company’s real estate investments across the U.S., with a particular focus on investments in the Central and Pacific Northwest regions of the U.S.

Prior to joining Ascentris, Mr. Curran was a derivatives trader with Infinium Capital Management, a Chicago-based hedge fund.

Mr. Curran graduated with a BBA in Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Mr. Curran resides in Denver, Colorado with his wife and three sons.

Peter Savoie

Peter Savoie is a Managing Director at Ascentris, and focuses on investing and managing the company’s assets and partner relationships across the Western U.S.  Prior to joining Ascentris, Mr. Savoie was the Chief Investment Officer for Miller Global Properties, a fund manager specializing in office and hotel investments.  At Miller Global he spent over 16 years leading a team acquiring, financing, asset managing and disposing of approximately $3 billion of assets across the western and southern U.S.  Prior to Miller Global, Mr. Savoie was with Cushman & Wakefield and its predecessor company, Cushman Realty Corporation for over 15 years.

Mr. Savoie has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Windsor and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.  He resides in Denver, Colorado with his wife.

Tony Breault

Tony Breault is a Managing Director at Ascentris, and focuses on investing and managing the company’s real estate investments across the U.S.  Prior to joining Ascentris, Tony spent nearly 16 years at Oregon State Treasury as the Senior Real Estate Investment Officer where he was responsible for all aspects of the global real estate portfolio within the Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund.  Mr. Breault also served as a member of the internal investment committee which vetted all partnership commitments across the various private market asset class portfolios.  Prior to Oregon State Treasury, Tony was an Investment Manager at Schnitzer West and General Manager/Senior Consultant at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he oversaw various real estate investments in Boston, Hartford, Sydney, Australia, and Southern Florida.

Mr. Breault graduated with a B.S. from Jacksonville University.  Immediately upon graduation, Mr. Breault was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy, where he served on active duty for eight years before retiring from the Naval Reserves with a combined 22 years of service. Mr. Breault is currently on the NCREIF PREA Reporting Standards Board, past Board of Directors of PREA, past Co-Chair of the annual PREA conference, and an editorial board member of Institutional Real Estate, Incorporated.

Jeff Higgins

Mr. Higgins is a Senior Vice President at Ascentris, and is responsible for underwriting new acquisitions, evaluating development opportunities, and managing a portion of the firm’s portfolio across all property types.

Mr. Higgins joined Ascentris in 2012 as an Analyst, after graduating from the University of Colorado with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance.

James Proffitt

Mr. Proffitt is a Vice President at Ascentris and focuses on investing and managing the company’s real estate investments across the U.S., with a particular focus on investments in Nashville, Raleigh, and the Bay Area.

Prior to joining Ascentris in 2014, Mr. Proffitt was an analyst with Croft & Bender, LLC, an investment banking firm in Atlanta, GA, where he was responsible for financial analysis and valuation, industry research, due diligence and the preparation of client materials.

Mr. Proffitt graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in finance.

Baird Rodawig

Ms. Rodawig is a Vice President at Ascentris. In her role, she is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new acquisition and development opportunities across office, multifamily, retail, and industrial property types with a focus on the Texas, Florida, and Washington D.C. markets. In addition to acquisitions and development, Ms. Rodawig manages a portion of the Firm’s existing assets.

Prior to joining Ascentris in 2018, Ms. Rodawig worked at Jones Lang LaSalle in debt and equity placement for acquisition and developments across all property types. Prior to JLL, Ms. Rodawig worked at J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank evaluating investment portfolios and managing banking relationships for high-net-worth individuals and foundations in both Denver, CO and Miami, FL.

Ms. Rodawig graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University with a B.S. in Economics.

Dylan Drescher

Mr. Drescher is a Vice President at Ascentris and is responsible for evaluating new acquisition and development opportunities across office, multifamily, retail, and industrial property types with a focus on the Atlanta, Chicago, and Salt Lake City markets. In addition to acquisitions and development, Mr. Drescher manages a portion of the Firm’s existing assets.

Before joining Ascentris full time in 2018, Mr. Drescher worked as a summer intern with Ascentris.

Mr. Drescher graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Real Estate Development.

Pat Sanders

Mr. Sanders is a Senior Associate at Ascentris and is responsible for underwriting new acquisitions, evaluating development opportunities and managing a portion of the firm’s portfolio across all property types.

Prior to joining Ascentris in 2023, Mr. Sanders was an associate with SomeraRoad, a real estate investment and development firm in Nashville, TN, where he was responsible for the acquisition, development and asset management of multifamily, retail and office properties across the firm’s portfolio.

Mr. Sanders graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South with a B.A. in Economics.

Bennett Eldredge

Mr. Eldredge is an Associate at Ascentris, and is responsible for underwriting new acquisitions, evaluating development opportunities and managing a portion of the firm’s portfolio across all property types.

Prior to joining Ascentris in 2020, Mr. Eldredge worked as a summer intern with Ascentris.

Mr. Eldredge graduated with a BBA in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Payson Newman

Mr. Newman is a Senior Analyst at Ascentris, and is responsible for underwriting new acquisitions, evaluating development opportunities and managing a portion of the firm’s portfolio across all property types.

Prior to joining Ascentris in 2021, Mr. Newman worked as a summer analyst with Vornado Realty Trust in New York City.

Mr. Newman graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a B.A. in Economics.

Alex Ayer

Ms. Ayer is a Senior Analyst at Ascentris, and is responsible for underwriting new acquisitions, evaluating development opportunities and managing a portion of the firm’s portfolio across all property types.

Prior to joining Ascentris in 2022, Ms. Ayer worked as a summer analyst with Berkeley Capital Advisors in Charlotte.

Ms. Ayer graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Economics.

Mike Nall

Mr. Nall is an Analyst at Ascentris, and is responsible for underwriting new acquisitions, evaluating development opportunities and managing a portion of the firm’s portfolio across all property types.

Prior to joining Ascentris in 2023, Mr. Nall worked as a financial analyst for CBRE’s Multifamily Investment Sales team in Denver.

Mr. Nall graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

Nathan Khomutov

Mr. Khomutov is an Analyst at Ascentris, and is responsible for underwriting new acquisitions, evaluating development opportunities and managing a portion of the firm’s portfolio across all property types.

Prior to joining Ascentris in 2023, Mr. Khomutov worked as a summer intern with Ascentris.

Mr. Khomutov graduated with a BBA in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Evan Murray

Mr. Murray is an Analyst at Ascentris, and is responsible for underwriting new acquisitions, evaluating development opportunities and managing a portion of the firm’s portfolio across all property types.

Prior to joining Ascentris in 2023, Mr. Murray worked as a summer intern with Ascentris.

Mr. Murray graduated with a BBA in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dane Jensen

Mr. Jensen is an Analyst at Ascentris, and is responsible for underwriting new acquisitions, evaluating development opportunities and managing a portion of the firm’s portfolio across all property types.

Prior to joining Ascentris full time in 2024, Mr. Jensen worked as a summer intern with Ascentris.

Mr. Jensen graduated with both a BBA in Real Estate and Finance and an MS in Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

John Cryan, CPA

John Cryan is the Director of Finance at Ascentris, and is responsible for directing the firm’s daily financial operations, including the firm’s financial reporting, accounting, treasury, tax, and institutional reporting.

Prior to joining Ascentris in April of 2020, Mr. Cryan worked at Citco Fund Services as a Senior Fund Accountant, serving private equity clients with investments in the business services, consumer, and energy industries.

Mr. Cryan graduated with his B.S. in both Accounting and Finance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Cryan is a Certified Public Accountant and belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Jackie Paladino

Jackie Paladino is an Accounting Manager at Ascentris and is responsible for all financial operations, including the firm’s financial reporting, accounting, treasury, tax, and institutional reporting.

Prior to joining Ascentris in August of 2024.  Ms. Paladino worked at IQEQ as a Senior Manager,  managing a team servicing private equity clients with investments in the real estate, agricultural, and consumer industries.

Ms. Paladino graduated magna cum laude with her B.S. in Information Technology Management and Masters in Accountancy from Ramapo College.

Connor Hasselman

Connor Hasselman is a Senior Accountant at Ascentris and is responsible for all financial operations, including the firm’s financial reporting, accounting, treasury, tax, and institutional reporting.

Prior to joining Ascentris in June of 2023, Mr. Hasselman worked at Deloitte & Touche in its Risk & Financial Advisory practice, serving clients with IT and internal control consulting services in the technology, media, and telecommunications industries.

Mr. Hasselman graduated with his B.S. and Masters in Accounting from University of Denver. Mr. Hasselman is a Certified Public Accountant and belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Douglas Todd

Douglas Todd is a Corporate Financial Analyst at Ascentris and is responsible for all aspects of financial and performance reporting to senior management, third-party index providers, consultants and clients.

Prior to joining Ascentris in May of 2023, Mr. Todd worked at Urban Villages in asset management and development, where he was responsible for financial analysis, due diligence, and managing the cash flow for active development projects. Mr. Todd previously worked at Ernst & Young as an Assurance Associate, serving real estate private equity clients with investments in multifamily, industrial, retail, and office assets.

Mr. Todd graduated from the University of Denver with a B.S. in Finance and earned a Master of Accountancy.

Samantha Andon

Samantha Andon is an Accountant at Ascentris, and is responsible for all financial activities, including the firm’s financial reporting, accounting, treasury, tax, and institutional reporting.

Prior to joining Ascentris in July of 2022, Ms. Andon worked as a Fund Accountant at Quantlab, a private trading firm, where she was responsible for financial reporting and trade operation reconciliations for the company’s investment funds. Ms. Andon previously worked at Deloitte as an Audit Senior providing audit services primarily in the oil & gas industries.

Ms. Andon graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas State University, where she earned a Masters and B.B.A in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Marc Soicher

Marc D. Soicher serves as Chief Compliance Officer and Human Resources Manager at Ascentris, and is responsible for personnel and benefits administration as well as required compliance concerning the firm’s registration with the SEC.

Prior to joining Ascentris in 2017, Mr. Soicher worked for nine years as a FINRA Registered Representative under the Principal Financial Group.  Also, in 2017, Mr. Soicher founded the Soicher Benefits Group where he still serves as President.   Prior to working in the financial services industry, Marc spent 30 years as an Emmy award winning sportscaster at WABC-TV in New York as well as KCNC, FOX Sportsnet and KWGN in Denver.

Mr. Soicher attended Michigan State University where he earned a B.A. in Communication.

Zina Balash

Zina Balash is an Executive Assistant at Ascentris where she provides detailed and technical administrative support across a variety of disciplines. Ms. Balash manages a wide spectrum of corporate administration duties and projects, including administering compliance items, coordinating executive travel, and maintaining various other accounting duties. In addition, Ms. Balash’s photography skills have proven to be a great asset to Ascentris, as she photographs company-wide events, property-specific projects, and even photographed Ascentris’ headshots.

Prior to Ascentris, Ms. Balash served as an Executive Assistant at Amstar Group for 11 years.

Lisa Carmichael

Lisa Carmichael joined Ascentris in September 2019 and brought with her over 40 years of experience as an Executive Assistant. Lisa is responsible for supporting the Accounting team with primary focus on company expenses and Accounts Payable.

Prior to joining Ascentris, Lisa worked with real estate teams in both Colorado and Florida where she assisted the owner and multiple agents with their daily undertakings.

In her time away from Ascentris, Lisa enjoys visiting with friends and family and doing anything outdoors with her nine grandchildren.

Yvette Moller

Yvette Moller is an Executive Assistant at Ascentris. Ms. Moller is
responsible for supporting the Ascentris team with duties that span
across a wide range of corporate administration functions, including managing quarterly administrative items, organizing executive travel, and contributing to numerous special projects. A particular interest and expertise of Ms. Moller is her ability to creatively plan highly personalized company-related meetings and special events that complement Ascentris’ culture.

Prior to Ascentris, Ms. Moller served as an Executive Assistant at Amstar Group for 6 years and legal secretary in the San Diego office of Sheppard Mullin for over 20 years.
